Our Story

A vihar gifted to the village and society

Anuttara Bodh Vihar stands on land donated by the Mathura Prasad family to the village of Durgaganj and the community at large. Founded, built, and funded by the family as an act of service, the vihar serves as a centre of practice and community gathering.

On 2 June 2026, the vihar was revived with the installation of two magnificent seven-and-a-half-foot murtis of Lord Buddha and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The Mathura Prasad family has also extended support to neighbouring vihars across the region.
